Arnold Maryland is located in Anne Arundel County and is considered the suburbs of Annapolis. It’s two main roads are College Parkway and Ritchie Highway and is part of the Broadneck Peninsula. There are many benefits to living in Arnold MD such as all the parks in the area, jogging trails, shopping and other things to do.  Living in Arnold MD gives you easy access to major cities such as Annapolis, Washington DC, and Baltimore.

Arnold was founded by John Arnold who was a veteran of the War of 1812 and owned 300 acres of land here.  There are currently  23,106 people living in Arnold MD.

One of the biggest benefits of living in Arnold is all of the parks and trails in the area to choose from.  The Baltimore-Annapolis Trail runs through Annapolis, Arnold and Severna Park and is a very popular paved jogging and biking path amongst those living in Arnold MD. Many home buyers specifically request a home near this trail.  Arnold also has the College Parkway Jogging Trail which is still being completed as of now.

There are several different parks in the area to choose from. Arnold Park which has a playground and open ball fields, Twin Oaks Park which has play equipment and walking trails and Broadneck Park which is just outside of Arnold but has two enclosed areas for dogs, a playground, walking trails and many fields.

There are many activities and things to do for those living in Arnold MD. Trust me, you won’t be bored here.

The Greater Annapolis Y in Arnold is a huge fitness center with babysitting, racketball, indoor swimming pool, rock climbing wall and much more. My wife and I go there and LOVE IT. If you move to Arnold or the surrounding areas, I highly recommend checking it out.

Bay Hills Golf Club is an 18 Hole Golf Course founded in 1969 and is very popular amongst homeowners on the Broadneck Peninsula.

Sandy Point State Park is just east of Arnold and is a large park with beach access and fishing. It is home to several big events throughout the year such as the Polar Bear Plunge and Lights On The Bay.

Anne Arundel Community College is also located in Arnold and is a fairly large college with a wide range of courses.

Arnold MD Shopping

Living in Arnold MD offers benefits such as the many options for shopping.  You are very close to Annapolis which has many shopping centers and a mall but Arnold also has several local shopping centers for all of your needs.

Bay Hills Shopping Center along college parkway. Pretty large shopping center with a grocery store and several restaurants. My wife and I particularly like going to O’Loughlins Irish Pub.

We also have the Arnold Station Shopping Center along Ritchie Highway which has several restaurants and businesses.
